WE ARE EXCITED TO WELCOME Jack McInerney, A EXPERIENCED INDUSTRY VETERAN, TO OUR SELECT TEAM OF REAL ESTATE BROKERS AT SWAN LAND COMPANY.

Jack brings a unique blend of expertise to our ranch brokerage services with a rich background rooted in agriculture, a distinguished former career in financial consultancy in addition to an impactful 13 years in ranch real estate industry.

Jack’s journey began in north-central Montana, where his upbringing instilled a deep understanding of land management and stewardship. His professional path includes a notable 12-year tenure as an Investment Representative at Edward D. Jones Investments and 17 years as a Vice President and Financial Consultant at D. A. Davidson. In 2012, Jack transitioned seamlessly into ranch real estate as an Associate Broker for Live Water Properties. Known for his meticulous approach and dedication to client satisfaction, Jack has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor across Montana.

Another unique addition to his diverse experience is his ability to lead improvement projects to maximize the potential of a property. A few former projects include:

  • Dry Cottonwood Creek, Deer Lodge County, 680 acres

    Improved stream corridor health, selectively logged forests, fenced to better manage livestock and wildlife use, and developed food plots for elk and deer.

  • Limestone Butte Ranch, Judith Basin County, 2,200 acres

    Improved wildlife use by developing water and distribution system, planted 52 acres of sanfoin and alfalfa food plots, significantly increased wildlife habitat and use by grazing management, fencing and selective logging programs, weed management program is currently in place.

  • Otter Creek Ranch, Cascade County, 1,009 acres

    Improved stream pools and vegetated banks on the spring creek; and increased area and depth of 3-acre pond to improve aquatic habitat.

  • Cottonwood Creek, Park County, 42 acres

    Removed 240 yards of farm debris, and currently completing stream bank stabilization, developing 3 springs and an artesian well for future ponding enhancement projects.

  • Rock Creek/Hammond Creek, Park County, 80 acres

    Removed farm debris, developed 3 springs and built a one acre pond. Extensive noxious weed management has significantly reduced weed issues on property.
